Pingle sets no cookies at all. It does store a few small things in your browser, and this page explains each one and lets you turn the optional part off.

No cookies. Not one. No advertising, no third-party trackers, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and nothing shared with anyone for marketing.
We store a small amount of data in your browser's own storage. Most of it exists purely so the app works — your half-finished event, and the links to events you have created. One item is optional: an anonymous id used to count visits, which is off unless you allow it.
You can change this at any time, and nothing about the service works differently either way. Turning analytics off does not limit any feature.
You have not chosen yet, so it is currently off.
These are stored because they are how the service does the thing you asked it to. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, storage strictly necessary to provide a service the user requested does not need consent. We would rather list it anyway than leave you guessing.

pingle_host_events is worth knowing about. It is what lets the home page say “pick up where you left off” when you have no account. It contains links that grant control of your events, so on a shared or public computer, clear your browser data when you finish.
If you allow it, we store one item — pingle_usage_session — a random id in your browser's session storage. It exists so we can tell that four page views were one person moving through the site rather than four separate people.

Never recorded: your links. Host links and invitation links are secrets. Before any page address is stored, the token is stripped out — /manage/abc123… is recorded as /manage/:token. There is an automated test that fails the build if that ever stops being true.
Counts are kept for 25 months, then deleted.
Everything above lives in your own browser, so you can remove all of it without asking us. In your browser settings, clear site data for pingleapp.co.uk. In Chrome and Edge it is under Privacy and security; in Safari under Manage Website Data; in Firefox under Cookies and Site Data.
One warning: clearing site data also removes pingle_host_events, which is how this browser remembers events you created without an account. If you have not had your host links emailed to you, save them somewhere first — or use Find my event to have them sent again.
Blocking storage entirely will stop draft-saving and the “pick up where you left off” shortcut from working, but you can still create and share events.
